If you're a busy mom like me, then you'll know how important it is to balance your work-home life.However, I know from first hand experience that most work at home businesses are so very time-consuming. What I am talking about here are offline home based businesses. The other day I sawy a TV programme about a lady running a shoe eBay Business from home (I class this as offline as she has to store and post the shoes).

The TV crew wee in her 'dining room' but it was jam-packed with shoes - no space for dining!She then went on to say that she had recently achieved her best month as she had sold just over 1,300 pairs of shoes on eBay.

She thought this was brilliant and was very happy to sing her own praises. But guess what? It didn't impress me - I even felt a little sorry for her.Why? Because her house was being taken over by shoes and imagine all the hard work and time it takes to individually package and then post 1,300 pairs of shoes on a monthly basis!

Yes she is working from home and running a profitable home based business, but instead of being a slave to an outside employer, she is now being an eBay slave in her own home. I relate to this as I used to sell plus-size women's clothes through eBay myself and I was in exactly the same situation as our shoe lady!

Today on the other hand, I work Online for 15 hours a week and earn a nice monthly income for my efforts which is growing on a monthly basis. I get to choose which 15-20 hours to work (around my two boys) and I hold no inventory or post anything out.
